Purpose of this Blog...

You may have noticed that not all books are equal in capturing children's imaginations and in cultivating those innocent, tender souls. My goal is to help you find the ones that do!

HAPPY 60TH ANNIVERSARY TO THE "PEANUTS" COMIC STRIP

The PEANUTS gang today (but not all pictured):  Snoopy, Charlie Brown, Woodstock, Linus, Lucy,
Sally, Schroeder, Peppermint Patty, Marcie, Pigpen, Franklin & Rerun!

To mark the the 60th Anniversary of the day PEANUTS made its debut appearance in seven newspapers, the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery in Washington, D.C. unveiled a photograph of the comic strip creator, Charles M. Schulz.

Good Old Charlie Brown!

Who can forget: IT'S THE GREAT PUMPKIN, CHARLIE BROWN!

Charles Schulz bid a fond farewell to all his readers in the final daily PEANUTS newspaper strip
that ran January 3, 2000.

My husband and I visited the Charles M. Schulz Museum in Santa Rosa, CA this summer - you can read my past post here.
